I was born in Prague, where I graduated from the Václav Hollar Art School and from the Academy of Arts, Architecture and Design (UMPRUM), specializing in animated film.
I like combining different techniques and media. This approach has allowed me to bring together film, illustration, and scenography during my work for Czech Television and my collaboration with experimental theatre. I am a member of the artistic groups “Hura Collectif” and “Echt Street Puppets” (street theatre with giant puppets), and co-founder of the gallery and screen-printing studio Hygienic Station, which Hura Kolektiv has run since 2008 in the Vinohrady district of Prague.

In 2012, I won the Arnal Prize at Komiksfest, and in 2013 the Muriel Prize for my comic “Pippo and the Golden Bug.” In 2015, I was invited to give a lecture on my work at the Raptus comic festival in Bergen, Norway. In 2016, I received the Best Cover Award at the “Svet Knihy” book fair in Prague, granted by the “Academy of Science Fiction, Fantasy and Horror,” for my cover of “Rivers of London” by Ben Aaronovitch, published by Argo (CZ). In 2019, I was selected to take part in the Poster Prize for Illustration exhibition, organized by the London Transport Museum and the AOI - the Association of Illustrators - in London. In 2020, our children’s book “Cervene Klubicko / The Red Ball of Wool,” created in collaboration with scriptwriter Irena Hejdová, received the “Cena za výjimečný počin” (Award for an Exceptional Achievement) from Albatros Publishers (CZ).
Since 2012, I have lived in Paris, from where I moved after ten years to Embrun, near Lake Serre-Ponçon in the Southern French Alps. In France, I work as a visual artist, illustrator, and designer of book covers and children’s books, collaborating with publishers such as Talents Hauts, l’Apprimerie, Bayard, Flammarion, Nathan, Milan, Hatier, Fleurus, Magnard, Chattycat, and Hachette. Two of these books, Dans la nuit il y a and Avis de recherche, have been translated and published in Czech by Argo (CZ).
Alongside creating books, I devote myself to graphic techniques, particularly Japanese woodblock printing and screen printing, as well as painting. I am continuing to develop works in the form of three-dimensional dioramas transposed into books - an approach I first explored in the animated film studio at UMPRUM. This technique forms the core of my current long-term projects, developed together with sculptural objects.
In this work, I collaborate closely with recycling centres and strive to make maximum use of recovered or rediscovered objects and materials. I also let unexpected finds influence both the creative process and the final outcome.
I see art as a way to show people that the world is woven from simple miracles accessible to everyone.

Narodila jsem se v Praze, kde jsem vystudovala Výtvarnou školu Václava Hollara a Vysokou školu uměleckoprůmyslovou (UMPRUM), obor animovaný film.
Ráda kombinuji nejrůznější techniky i média. Propojení filmu, ilustrací a následně i scénografie jsem využila během svého působení v českých televizích, či třeba při spolupráci s divadlem Vosto5.
Jsem členkou umělecké skupiny Hura Kolektiv, a spoluzakladatelkou galerie a sítotiskového studia Hygienická stanice, kterou Hura kolektiv provozoval od roku 2008 na pražských Vinohradech.
V roce 2012 jsem získala cenu Arnal na Komiksfestu a v roce 2013 cenu Muriel za komiks „Pippo“. V roce 2015 jsem byla pozvána, aby o své tvorbě přednášela na komiksovém festivalu Raptus v norském Bergenu. V roce 2016 jsem byla oceněna na knižním veletrhu Svět knihy v Praze cenou za nejlepší obálku Akademií science fiction, fantasy a hororu za obálku knihy „Řeky Londýna“ od Bena Aaronovitche, vydanou nakladatelstvím Argo. V roce 2019 jsem byla vybrána k účasti na výstavě Poster Prize for Illustration, kterou pořádá Londýnské muzeum dopravy a AOI - Association of Illustrators v Londýně. V roce 2020 naše dětská kniha Červené klubíčko, vytvořená ve spolupráci se scénáristkou Irenou Hejdovou, získala výroční “Cenu za vynikající počin” nakladatelství Albatros.

Od roku 2012 jsem žila v Paříži, odkud jsem se po 10ti letech přestěhovala se k jezeru Serre-Poncon do francouzských Jižních Alp. Ve Francii se živím volnou tvorbou a jako ilustrátorka a autorka knižních obálek a dětských knih. Spolupracovala jsem například s nakladatelstvími Talents Hauts, l'Apprimerie, Bayard, Flammarion, Nathan, Milan, Hatier, Fleurus, Magnard, Chattycat a Hachette. Dvě z těchto knížek, "Co skrývá noc" a "Případy detektiva Ťopa", byly přeložené do češtiny a vydané nakladatelstvím Argo.
Mimo tvorby knížek a kreslení se věnuji grafickým technikám, zejména japonskému dřevořezu a sítotisku a malbě. Pokračuji v rozvíjení tvorby trojrozměrných dioramat, převedených do knih, se kterou jsem začala už v ateliéru animovaného filmu na UMPRUM a použila jsem jí například v knize Červené Klubíčko (Albatros) a v ilustracích ke knize Tajemná zahrada (Leda). Tato technika je tématem mých současných dlouhodobých projektů, připravovaných společně s tvorbou prostorových instalací. Při této tvorbě spolupracuji úzce s recyklačními centry a snažím se pro své projekty maximálně využívat použitých a znovunalezených objektů a materiálů. Často nečekanými nálezy nechávám ovlivnit i průběh a výsledek tvorby.
Umění vnímám jako způsob, jak zprostředkovat lidem, že svět je utkán z jednoduchých zázraků, které jsou přístupné všem.

Je suis née à Prague, où j'ai été diplômée de l'école d'art Václav Hollar et de l'Académie des Arts, Architecture et Design (UMPRUM), avec une spécialisation en cinéma d'animation.
J'aime combiner différentes techniques et médias. Cette approche m'a permis d'allier film, illustration et scénographie lors de mon travail à la télévision tchèque et de ma collaboration avec le théâtre experiental. Je suis membre du groupe artistique « Hura Collectif » et d'« Echt street Puppets » (théâtre de rue avec des marionnettes géantes) et cofondatrice de la galerie et atelier de sérigraphie Hygienic Station, que Hura Kolektiv gère depuis 2008 dans le quartier de Vinohrady à Prague.
En 2012, j'ai remporté le prix Arnal au Komiksfest et en 2013 le prix Muriel pour ma bande dessinée « Pippo et le cafard d'or ». En 2015, j'ai été invitée à donner une conférence sur mon travail au festival de bande dessinée Raptus à Bergen, en Norvège. En 2016, j'ai reçu le prix de la meilleure couverture au salon du livre "Svet Knihy" à Prague, décerné par "l'Académie de la science-fiction, du fantastique et de l'horreur", pour ma couverture de « Rivers of London » de Ben Aaronovitch, publié par Argo editions (CZ). En 2019, j'ai été sélectionnée pour participer à l'exposition Poster Prize for Illustration, organisée par le London Transport Museum et l'AOI - "Association of Illustrators" à Londres. En 2020, notre livre pour enfants "Cervene Klubicko/La pelotte de laine rouge", créé en collaboration avec la scénariste Irena Hejdova, a remporté le "Cena za vyjmecny pocin" (Prix pour une réalisation exceptionnelle) des éditions Albatros editions (CZ).
Depuis 2012, j´ai vecu à Paris, d'où j'ai déménagé après dix ans a Embrun, auprés du Lac de Serre-Ponçon dans les Alpes du Sud françaises. En France, je travaille comme plasticienne, illustratrice et auteure de couvertures de livres et de livres pour enfants, collaborant avec des éditeurs tels que Talents Hauts, l'Apprimerie, Bayard, Flammarion, Nathan, Milan, Hatier, Fleurus, Magnard, Chattycat et Hachette. Deux de ces livres, "Dans la nuit il y a" et "Avis de recherche", ont été traduits et publiés en tchéque par Argo editions (CZ).
Parallèlement à la création de livres, je me consacre aux techniques graphiques, notamment la gravure japonaise sur bois at la sérigraphie, et a la peinture. Je poursuis le développement d’œuvres sous forme de dioramas tridimensionnels transposés dans des livres, une approche que j’ai commencée à explorer déjà à l’atelier du film d’animation de l’UMPRUM. Cette technique constitue le thème de mes projets actuels à long terme, élaborés ensemble avec les objets sculpturaux.
Dans ce travail, je collabore étroitement avec des centres de recyclage et m’efforce d’utiliser au maximum des objets et matériaux récupérés ou redécouverts. Je laisse également des trouvailles souvent inattendues influencer le processus et le résultat final de la création.
